Valrico locals, Jana Barnett and Alex Gill, are college students that have recently founded Tactical Nutrition, a company that fuels athletes and competitors in the sports field. Not only has their company grown from right out of their home, Tactical Nutrition is creating a movement.
Barnett and Gill are both students in their Senior years of college. While most college students are focused on the social aspects of their collegiate years, they are more focused on the years after college. Gill commented, "I've seen too many people graduate just to enter the real world without a job and without a plan. I just don't want to be that person." The two have had a long-time interest in the sports and exercise world, so when deciding on the direction of the business, it could not have been more clear. Barnett gave us her thoughts on the process. "It was really a no-brainer. Why go into a business you have no passion for? It's great because our customers are our friends. We couldn't have asked for a better business to enter into."
Tactical Nutrition, having only launched recently, has one product currently. The product is a Pre-Workout Supplement, called GRIT. Tactical Nutrition prides itself on having an all-in-one pre-workout, unlike many popular companies today. According to Barnett and Gill, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. "We did our best to customize GRIT to the needs of our customers, as well as ourselves. We wanted an effective supplement that wasn't loaded with unnecessary ingredients, and that's exactly what GRIT gave us."
Tactical Nutrition keeps its fans updated with both Instagram and Facebook to inform them regularly about news. Most importantly, Tactical Nutrition promotes sales and giveaways through its social media accounts.
